Our daughter loved all of the hands on activities that Montessori offers. The owner, Karen and her staff are highly skilled and caring. Highly recommend.

You will most likely not remember me as it was so long ago when I worked with you back when I was just a student at FSU around 1991-1992 (?). I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that the experience I had while working in your Montessori-coupled with your gentle, caring nature has helped to shape me and my philosophies of education through the last 23 years or so of teaching. I am now the head teacher of a beautiful village school in Hertfordshire in the UK. I am currently in the process of revamping my whole school to reflect Montessori principles and a few of my teachers are working towards accreditation as Montessori teachers. I just wanted you to know that your influence and the experience I had while working with you has inspired others.

This is an absolutely wonderful school where students and staff (I’m a former employee) alike are respected and encouraged to work with and develop their own personal strengths. The director is one of the most considerate and thoughtful people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She is extremely well versed in Montessori practices and knowledgeable in regards to child growth and development. Her experience and knowledge are extremely evident in the day to day practices in the school. I have a masters degree in early childhood education and if I had a child and were living in Tallahassee, this would absolutely be the school I would send him/her to. I would absolutely recommend this school to anyone seeking early childhood schools for his/her student or for employment.

My son Rehmat attended Seminole Montessori with Miss Karen from 2007-2010. Rehmat is going to turn 10 in August. He remembers his first school and Miss Karen very fondly. We still have the peace flower you gave him. It is a white chrysanthemum. He also remembers Miss Doreen, Miss Lauren and Miss Rachelle, and some of his friends. I am so full of gratitude for the time he spent with all of you at Seminole Montessori. He is passionate about learning, and curious about everything. He devours books of all types, and loves math, history, and science. He loves sports for the sheer joy of playing them, and has a very goofy sense of humor. He is still playing the violin too.
But there are some values that were instilled in him when he was your student that still shine from within him – respect, tolerance, peace, a love of nature and a regard for others. These are sadly not as common as one would like, but I am so proud when he rescues a spider, offers someone his seat on the bus, or expresses indignation at some injustice.

My son likes it here. He likes to go to school and stay at school for a whole day even though he cannot speak English. He enjoys the time in Montessori.
